Midterm Blog Assignment

Shakespeare's plays are somewhat difficult for me at times.  This is evident in my last post, for Othello, where I couldn't bring myself to understand why some of the characters act the way they do.  Perhaps it's a lack of connection to the characters, or a result of getting stuck behind the older English language barrier.  I think my lack of connection is apparent in some of my blog posts.  This is not always a bad thing, however.  Sometimes I get lost within the entire play, but certain excerpts catch my eye and inspire me to blog about them - like in my blog post on Midsummer Night's Dream.  The language that was used to or about Hermia really caught my interest.  I think my blog posts can be pretty brief though, and going forward I should probably delve deeper into the plays in order to get past the problems I am having reading them.  I think my Midsummer Night's Dream post was better than my Othello post.  I should return to that level of posting.  So far, the comments I've seen have been positive and have contributed further insight into the idea presented in the posts.
