Twelfth Night
The production of “Twelfth Night” on campus was wonderful. Seeing as I can only really appreciate the play for its face value I thought the play was well done. I think the most enjoyable portions of the play were the interactions between Sir Toby, Sir Andrew, Feste and Maria. These four characters truly stole the stage. The second Sir Andrew ran onto the stage in his ridiculous purple attire and Sir Toby was found drunkenly passed out I knew they would be fantastic. Their portrayals of each character were quite funny and the antics and humor they provided the play really made it enjoyable. Before heading over someone had said to me the play was a bit long and I may get bored. However, there was not a boring moment. The play is well devised in serious parts and comedic elements are performed off and on so one really does not notice how much time has passed. While I enjoyed the other characters and their parts in the play, I thought these four were by far the best. They really captured the audience with their humor and grabbed the attention of everyone.
