Meta-Post
As I reviewed my 3 blog posts I was very surprised as to how different each one was. The very first post I ever did, I basically summarized what it was I read, with a few questions about some confusing points thrown in. I suppose its possible I didn't fully understand the task; that it should be more like a reflection of what I read and what I thought of it. My second post really takes a very persuasive approach. Meaning, I was more so trying to convince my fellow classmates that the characters in the play were really being hypocritical. I notice I used a lot of emotion and opinion in my second post as well. It would be fair to say that I personally, felt a real connection with the going on's. In my second post, I even when a little further and used a dictionary to define hypocrite in the introduction, to help get my point across. In my third post, I found myself opening up my post with a question, which I am noticing now really helped me to write a better developed blog post. I feel it helped me write a better post because I was able to stay organized and focused on what it was exactly I was working toward explaining. I also notice that I used a lot of compare and contrast in this post, for example the garden and politics. I really felt like I caught on at this point, what it is that makes a great post. I finally started using quotes in my third entry as well! I noticed I went back and forth between present day and in Shakespeare's time, I feel like that was also very helpful because I was able to reflect on how things are looked at differently then, compared to now, and it really broadened my perspective. I feel that my strongest post was certainly my third one, titled Defeat. I feel like I really demonstrated a real knowledge and understanding of what was happening in the play at that time. Throughout the blogging process thus far I also have noticed, it helps me to read others thoughts about our readings, not only does it help me better understand the reading but also to come up with an idea maybe I would like to blog about. Overall, I am really thrilled with the whole concept of blogging, I feel it has really helped me be a better Shakespeare student!
