Looking Back

Rereading my posts I am definitely disappointed in my lack of commitment to them. I seem to spend a lot of time just spewing out words without really reflecting on what I am trying to say. I feel that my posts are very rushed. I could definitely flesh out my points more and use more textual evidence to back up my theories.

My posts are more about smaller themes within the texts, for example my first post on the bromance between Antonio and Bassanio, while an important plot point, is not a major theme. Not that this is bad at all, I'm just pointing out the obvious. I think my later posts reflected more of a larger theme. Funny enough and I guess this reflects Shakespeare's plays but two of my posts were about sexual desires. The bromance and my speculations on why Angelo arrested Claudio.

As for my third post I did a sort of character analysis, but I feel that it was very rushed. My first post was definitely my best and I can see that I have gotten lazy. Although, I do like that we have a blog. It gives me a chance to voice my questions, opinions, and theories--especially because my class participation isn't so great. Overall I really like the idea of blogging for a class.
