The first blog post on Shylock and the anti-semitism in The Merchant of Venice really showed me the state of Europe at this time which was previously unaware to me. Shakespeare's portrayal of Shylock is somewhat indicative of the attitude's held in England during this period.
Within my second post, although quite a bit was summary the last point I made sticks out to me. It was at this time I realized why some of these plays were in the genre of comedy, previously to this point I took them completely as drama. Shakespeare's comedy is in all of the subtleties of his play which don't pop out right away instead making you work harder to take the humor out of it. The post on King Richard again look at the humor of Shakespeare, this time specifically in the duel scene in act 4. The comment made by you on this post about the loss of chivalry is definitely something that I would go back and explore. The comments left by others on my posts are actually my favorite part of the blogging. It's nice to see a thought of yours expanded and taken directions that you may not have picked up on originally. Unfortunately however, the commenting aspect of the blogging generally gets forgotten by myself. I'll have to work harder on that aspect as I'm realizing how beneficial it can be to see another individual's thoughts and opinions on what you think.
